Rapper Rick Ross was arrested on Friday for marijuana…and today he was formally charged with possession of the drug.
Police spokesman Bill Goodin said Monday that Ross, whose real name is William Roberts II, was issued a misdemeanor summons and released after Friday night’s arrest in Louisiana.
“Ricky Rozay” known for such albums as “Teflon Don” and his hit single “Aston Martin Music” featuring Drake, was arrested after police responded to a complaint about the smell of marijuana at the Hilton Hotel.
Upon checking, Goodin said police confiscated 1 gram of what investigators believed to be marijuana.
Rick, we all know you like to smoke the Mary Jane, like a lot of rappers do…but don’t be dumb about it.
